1. Why Most Chronic Disease Starts With Inflammation and Nutrient Deficiencies (Not Genetics or Bad Luck)

Inflammation Is the Match That Lights the Fire

Chronic low-grade inflammation—often called “silent inflammation”—is at the root of nearly every modern chronic disease:

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Autoimmune conditions (Hashimoto’s, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus)
  • Alzheimer’s and cognitive decline
  • Fatty liver disease
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Depression and anxiety

This inflammation doesn’t come from nowhere. It’s triggered by:

  • Poor diet – ultra-processed foods, seed oils, excess sugar
  • Gut dysfunction – leaky gut, dysbiosis, SIBO, infections
  • Chronic stress – cortisol dysregulation and HPA axis dysfunction
  • Toxin exposure – endocrine disruptors, heavy metals, mold

Standard labs measure inflammation after it’s already wreaking havoc (elevated CRP, high ferritin, autoantibodies). But by then, the damage is well underway.

Your body can’t regulate inflammation, repair tissue, or produce energy without the right raw materials. When you’re deficient in key nutrients, every system suffers:

  • 7–8 hours of quality sleep (non-negotiable for healing)
